Conference 2010

The Annual Conference will take place on Saturday 24th April 2010 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Dublin.

Registration starts at 10am with coffee and a chance to visit the stands and the sales table, where you can see and buy heating aids, knitted mittens and wrist warmers, books and DVDs.  Free samples of moisturising creams and other products will be provided for delegates.

Lectures start at 11am and a full programme will be given nearer to the date.  Speakers will include Dr. Geraldine Brough, Dr. Sinead Harney, Dr. Sean Gaine, a prominent dentist, a camouflage makeup specialist and nutrirional therapist Leila Anglade.

Our very popular massage sessions will be available again this year and the Red Corss volunteers will also give their very comforting hand massages.  All massage sessions are free of charge.

Travel

The Stillorgan Park Hotel is easy to find and is situated on the N11.  Coming from the Wexford direction the hotel is on the right hand side of the road, just after Stillorgan Village.

Driving from other parts of the country you should take the M50 southbound, leaving at junction 14.  At the roundabout at the end of the slip road take the first exit and you will pass Bewleys Hotel on your right. At the next roundabout take the second exit, Brewery Road. This will bring you to the N11 where you should turn left. The next crossroads is Stillorgan Village, and shortly after that you will come to the Stillorgan Park Hotel on your right. 

Free parking is available behind the hotel.

Arriving by train you should take the LUAS to O'Connell Street where you can get the 46A bus, which stops at the door of the hotel.  Click here to view the bus timetable for the 46A route.

Report on 2009 Conference

The 2009 conference was a huge success and we have a selection of photos taken during the day for you to enjoy. Photos are by Robbie Fry.

We had a full house and everyone felt that the speakers were very interesting and informative.  The lunch was excellent thanks to the staff of the Stillorgan Park Hotel.  We welcomed a number of new members who joined the society that day, and others who have joined since then - as a result of the conference.  There was a lot of interest in the sales table, and everyone went home with a good selection of moisturising creams to try out.
