This year’s mini marathon brought out intrepid walkers from all over the country.  Here is one group with the cheque for the sponsorhsip they collected.  Well done to eveyone who took part and a huge thank you for for all your hard work and dedication.

Annual Awareness Conference 2011

Following the success of recent conferences held in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Co. Dublin we have booked the same venue again for next year's conference.  This will be held on Saturday 16th April 2011.  Please put this date in your diary.  We will post more information about this event closer to the date.

Report on Conference 2010

The Annual Conference will took place on Saturday 24th April 2010 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Dublin and attendance was free.  To see pictures taken on the day click on the Photo Gallery tab on the right hand side of the page.

A full programme of speakers covered lung function, dry eyes, nutrition and much more.  We hope very shortly to have recordings of the speeches for you so please check back later.

We had a great range of free samples available including Elave, Aveeno, Oilatum, Lipikar and Eucerin.  Samples of products such as mouth wash, toothpaste, eye drops and other items suitable for people with Sjogren's were available to take away.  The sales table provided everyone with an opportunity to try out heating aids and gloves/socks before buying them at reduced conference prices.

Massage sessions were popular again this year and the Irish Red Corss volunteers and Jean Moore worked hard all morning.  All massage sessions were free of charge.

The Annual Raffle was drawn at the conference and we had a wonderful selection of prizes, thanks to the generosity of all our sponsors.  We also had a draw for people attending on the day and the prizes included a cheese hamper from Old MacDonald's Farm, a hamper of hairdressing products from Aidan Fitzgerald's salon, two hampers of No. 7 Products, a hamper of RoC products and numerous other beautiful prizes.

Report on 2009 Conference

The 2009 conference was a huge success and we have a selection of photos taken during the day for you to enjoy. Photos are by Robbie Fry.

We had a full house and everyone felt that the speakers were very interesting and informative.  The lunch was excellent thanks to the staff of the Stillorgan Park Hotel.  We welcomed a number of new members who joined the society that day, and others who have joined since then - as a result of the conference.  There was a lot of interest in the sales table, and everyone went home with a good selection of moisturising creams to try out.
